This potent phenomenon is dominated by one company, Match Group, which has seen its stock soar 600% since its 2015 IPO.
Match over the last few years has acquired 20 companies and has over 45 subscription services, making it a strong contender with giants Facebook's operating margins.
The jewel in the crown is Tinder and has shown its popularity with its figures reaching over 59 million people today up from its 1 million in 2016.
